Design Shanghai

Founded in 2014, Design Shanghai is an international professional design event and an active contributor to China’s design industry. Over the past decade, it has welcomed more than 2,600 design brands from around the world and over 640,000 professional visitors, bearing witness to the rise of Chinese design and its growing exchange with the world.

Each four-day edition brings together outstanding design from across the globe in four section, covering Furniture & Lighting, Kitchen, Bathroom & Systems Design, New Materials & Applications, and Living & Lifestyle. Curated programmes including Talents, Made in JDZ, Beyond Craft and Collectible Design & Art explore the synergy between eastern and western design philosophies. Never-before-seen bespoke installations, thought-provoking design talks and a vibrant programme of events offer visitors an extraordinary journey of design discovery. Held alongside the show, the Global Design Conference brings international design masters, architects and industry leaders to the stage. For many international brands, Design Shanghai was where they met their first audience in China, making it a vital bridge between China and the global design community.
